The Process

From first contact to reaching your goals, here’s how it all works.

What to Expect at SPARK Intensives ?

We’ve designed a streamlined and supportive process to ensure that every child who attends SPARK receives personalised, goal-driven care from our multidisciplinary team. Here's how it works:

1. Express Your Interest

Start by completing our online registration form. This lets us know you’re interested and gives us important background information about your child.

2. Eligibility Check

Once we receive your registration, our team will get in touch to confirm that your child meets our inclusion criteria.
To participate, your child must:

  • Have at least one or more goals in each of the three therapy areas (Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Physiotherapy)

  • Be available to attend all five days of the intensive during the specified school holiday week

3. Telehealth Team Meeting

You’ll then meet with our full team (OT, Speech Therapist, and Physiotherapist) in a telehealth session.
During this session, we’ll:

  • Get to know you and your child

  • Discuss their developmental history and current needs

  • Collaboratively set clear, functional goals for the intensive week

4. Face-to-Face Assessment

Next, we’ll schedule a 3-hour in-person assessment with your child. This allows our team to:

  • Observe and assess your child across all three disciplines

  • Establish a baseline

  • Finalise and refine the goals for the week ahead

5. Attend SPARK

Your child will attend SPARK for five consecutive days during the school holidays.
Each day includes:

  • Occupational Therapy

  • Speech Therapy

  • Physiotherapy
All sessions are tailored to your child's individual goals and are delivered in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment.

6. Receive a Summary Report

At the end of the week, you'll receive a comprehensive written report outlining:

  • Your child's progress and achievements

  • Observations from each therapist

  • Recommendations for ongoing support at home, school, or in ongoing therapy

7. What Next?

To support long-term progress, each therapist will provide:

  • Specific home strategies and exercises

  • Recommendations to share with your child’s teacher, daycare provider, or regular therapist

  • The option to return for another SPARK Intensive in the future
